Sorry you took offense at my interpretation of screwball comedy films. I did say at the beginning of my message to you that i RESPECTFULLY disagree with you. I was just trying to defend my position by stating what I believe to be the defining traits of the SUB-Genre of romantic comedy. While I may disagree with your interpretation I do like that you and I both share a love for the romantic comedy formats of the 1930’s 40’s and 50’s. I wholeheartedly agree with you that modern romantic comedies are sorely wanting in the wit and class of this genre compared to the older films. Best wishes and have a nice day.
Sincerely David Roesler.
